Thoughts For Food

Insights into the Mind of a Culinary School Student

About Me

Hello everyone and welcome!

My name’s Andrew Asistin. I’m 28 and an aspiring chef and food writer.

I’m am a graduate the Culinary Institute of America. I have completed both the Associates Program and the Bachelors Program. I have learned so many great things during my time there and I am very excited to share all of my food-related thoughts and wonderful recipes with you!

I’m actually a bit of a career-changer, if you could call it that. I was halfway through my formal education at Fairfield University some years ago when I made the decision to stop an take a year off to figure out what I REALLY wanted to do with my life. I decided that I wanted to combine my passions for food and writing into a single career and I knew that my first step had to be the best culinary school in the country: The Culinary Institute of America. Fast-forward to today and I could not be happier with my decision! Unfortunately I am unemployed at the moment, but that’s to be expected with the current state of the economy. I will keep trying, however!

The blog updates every Monday afternoon so I hope you follow or subscribe to see what I have to offer! Happy reading and happy eating!

If you have any further questions for me or want to find out about the CIA, email me ad Andrew.Asistin@gmail.com
